MEET THE TEAM

Meet our team of highly qualified personal trainers, dedicated to helping you achieve your fitness goals with expert guidance, personalised programs, and unwavering support.

Hi I'm Rich, the wise old man of the team if you ask Sam, Nath and Layla. The grey hairs emerging are a sign of experience with nearly 20 years of expertise... At least that's my excuse.

My personal sporting history stems from rugby and cricket and it's a love for these sports that led me in to strength and conditioning. Over the years I've been lucky enough to work with international and premiership football players, premiership rugby players and international cricket players and thousands of everyday people like you and me.

Over the years I've pushed myself to a 210kg x 2 back squat, 145kg x 2 bench press, 230kg x 2 deadlift, 180kg x 1 front squat, 110kg x 2 push press.

More recently my focus has shifted towards running and I am proud to have achieved a 18:23 5k, 38:34 10k, 1:27:49 half marathon.

I'm a big fan of training with purpose and having purpose leads to consistency which is where results are created. My intention with ASND is to raise the standard of coaching across the industry.

Hi I'm Sam, I've been coaching for my entire adult career, I've coached hundreds of people from all walks of life from professional athletes to octogenarians.

I was a competitive national athlete in my youth which led me towards a passion for strength and conditioning. More recently I've competed in Hyrox and Crossfit events and I aim to tick off some running goals in the near future.

My intention with ASND is to create the best small group personal training gym in the UK. I want to create a space where people make continual progress through intelligent programming and coaching in a clean, state-of-the-art facility backed by a supportive community. Simply put, I want to raise the standard of coaching.

As a level 4 S&C coach I'm obsessed with discovering how intelligent training can lead to results.

I love progresing clients and witnessing them become stronger, fitter and more capable.

Hi I’m Nathan, I've spent over 15 years coaching and developing my own understanding of training, performance, and what it takes to keep improving. My journey started with football and quickly grew into a real passion for strength and conditioning, which has shaped both my career and the way I train.

I've always believed in training with purpose. I enjoy having a clear plan, working hard, and seeing progress over time. That mindset has driven me throughout my coaching career and in my own training, whether I'm chasing strength, fitness or performance goals.

I practice what I preach, my personal bests include a 200kg back squat, 215kg deadlift and 130kg bench press. More recently my focus has shifted towards achieving some distance running goals.

I'm proud to be a part of the ASND community and to keep pushing myself, both as a coach and as an athlete.

Hi I'm Layla, I have over 10 years of experience coaching in the fitness industry. Coming from a professional background and being a mum of three, I understand the barriers many people face when it comes to making time for training and prioritising their health.

I love coaching clients of all abilities, whether it's supporting someone through their very first gym session or helping an experienced athlete work towards specific performance-related goals.

My aim is to create a positive and supportive environment where everyone feels confident to challenge themselves and achieve their potential.

Running has always been a huge passion of mine. I'm incredibly proud of my 40 minute 10k, 90 minute half marathon and 3:20 full marathon.

More recently I've taken part in Hyrox races where I was chuffed to earn a flag by finishing 3rd in my age group.
